Great pictures Ran!
Big hugs for you and Wendy. Congrats on the new little one. Sorry her beginning was so rough.
Thanks for sharing the pictures.
Congrats Ran! Erin is a cutey. Glad to hear that all is well now. Enjoy (grins)
Congrats Ran, adorable new sprout.
Glad everything turned out well and all are healthy. Sleep while you can.
Thanks everyone. I failed to mention that Erin was 8 lbs, 1 oz at birth, so yeah, she was ready to come out. Also poor Wendy had a heck of a time with this pregnancy. She had gestational diabetes, very swollen ankles, and carpal tunnel also related to the swelling, so she was happy to get unpregnant sooner.
And as for bathrooms, we're starting the process of putting an addition on, so there should be plenty to go around.
Congratulations, Ran, glad everybody's doing well. I'm no baby expert, but Erin looks like a pretty fair-sized sprout. She was ready before you all were, it seems.
Now that you have three females in the house with you I feel it only fair to inform you that the days of your being able to get into the bathroom when you want to are, well, pretty much over.
Congrats Ran, always happy to see more Ransprouts in the world.
And Nommy, my pic with Claudia Black can easily be explained.......
She is just SOOOO beutiful in real life that I nearly collapsed when I saw her. Walking (stumbling?) up to get my pic taken with her she asked me how I was. My brain froze I mumbled something unintelligable, got my photo taken and darted off straight to the bar (at 11am) for a couple of cold ones to calm my nerves.
Nobody noticed what shirt I was wearing?
Geez! The SciFiSites gathering in Boston shirt for frell's sake
LOL, I noticed it Ian, it gave me warm fuzzies!
Good to hear from you, MerleZ, even if it's only when the cell doors are open.
Just fyi...I work at Chiron in Emeryville. I have absolutely no idea how widespread the news gets, but there have been 3 explosions of unknown origin today...3:00 AM, 4:00 AM, and 7:00 AM. They're treating this very seriously (Well!!), so I'm home working, such as it is (obviously not overly stressed). But, in case anyone heard the news, and knows I work there, I'm fine. No one has been hurt, just loud booms.
<fx = "soapbox">
Probably animal activists, but speculation is based on an email earlier this week from the CEO over security on the campus. There's no animal testing on campus (and I'd know...trust me), so I'm baffled as to why someone would set off explosive devices at a laboratory. The labs have "interesting solutions and specimens" that are kept so testing can be done to get postive results with new medicines. The buildings are built pretty stout, as earthquakes aren't unheard of here, and containment is a serious concern. But, I don't think everything is built to withstand a bomb-blast. Stupid people.

Anyway, probably go to work Friday, if everything is clear. Then I'm off to see my daughter up in Oregon for the long weekend. Too bad I can't predict the future and know that Friday is an off-day, too. Eh, life goes on.

Given that I have no idea where Emeryville is, where are you working, and doing what Wizz?
Been ages since we met at Crawley in Sussex!
Hi all! Well, the filters are down here at work, so I'm not "forbidden" from visiting this site. It's considered "chat" you see.
Ran, congrats on Erin's birth, and much happiness your way at her recovery. Seems like only yesterday I "met" you, when Meaghan was newborn. She looks so grown up in the pictures now.
Gang, it's doubtful I'll be around much at all. As soon as computer services puts the filters back up, I'll not be able to post here. I think Crash told you some of us also post at Speculative Vision. It has its pros and cons, and I'd really like to post at both places. But the filter prevents that. Oh well.
Anyway, hope all is well with those of you I never see at SV, like Wizz and AsIs.
